Planning for learning or writing lesson plans, what is the difference?

Learning pays no attention to a lesson plan. A quality lesson does not translate as a detailed lesson. A quality lesson is formative in nature and responsive to learning needs. The main objective of a teacher is to plan a sequence of lessons for learning (not just activities or worksheets), for which, one needs to
                (1) focus on learning intentions and outcomes,
                (2) Present the content and skills in a variety of ways
                (3) assess students formatively and give then options for demonstrating their learnings.
Effective learning is assessed by a student’s ability to answer.

                    Importance of Lesson Plans

The seminar focused on the importance of preparing a lesson plan and how it helps to organize the flow of the class. The plan should clearly focus on the subject topic, objective of what is to be delivered and how it has to be communicated to the learners. An effective lesson plan must have a beginning – middle – end. For an interactive online session, we must share our objective with the learners to let them know what we are going to learn and have examples ready to make learning effective and engaging.
