We need to nurture and guide our children to be disciplined in life. The following are certain disciplinary modules which work in tandem with the school’s code of conduct. Please remember that these are words of caution for the benefit of our children. Absolute compliance and serious obeyance are expected from the students in all concerned areas to avoid the listed actions.

Guidelines for Students :

Items banned in school :

  • CD players, i-pods and MP3 players.
  • Mobile phones or any other electronic gadget.
  • Cameras, VCD’s, DVD’s, USB’s.
  • Books (other than text books or library books), magazines, journals.
  • Valuable articles such as expensive watches, jewellery, etc.
  • Chemicals/ paints of any kind crackers.
  • Sharp objects.

Unacceptable Behaviour in school:

  • Lending or borrowing money in school.
  • Using unfair means during tests/ examination.
  • Improper uniform turnout.
  • Irregular attendance, unjustified and unexplained absence.
  • Habitual late coming.
  • Bunking/missing classes.
  • Self driving.
  • Shouting/bullying in the school/ school transport.
  • Damaging school property.
  • Disorderly abusive language.
  • Bursting of crackers or playing with Holi colours.

Some Guidelines:
Area of concern: Action to be taken by the school
Coming Late

  • Verbal warning.
  • Written warning through an almanac note.
  • Student sent back home and marked absent.

Bullying/aggressive behaviour and use of abusive language

  • Written apology to be filed into the student’s dossier. One copy to be retained by the class teacher.
  • Counselling of students and parents.
  • Issue of Atonement/ first Retribution Card.
  • Issue of second Retribution Card.
  • Suspension/Expulsion from school.

Irregular attendance

  • Verbal warning.
  • Written warning through an almanac note.
  • Students will be sent home.
  • Hair cut in school.

Defaulter at work (missing formal assessments and exams, late submissions, not getting the required material)

  • Penal fine.
  • Issue of Atonement/ Retribution Card.

Damage to school property:

  • Student to clean the classroom or littered area.
  • Withdrawal of break.
  • Withdrawal of P.T. period.

Bursting crackers:

  • Detention in Senior School.
  • Issue of Atonement/ Retribution Card.

Uniform Turnout:

  • Verbal Warning.
  • Written Note(twice) through an almanac note.
  • To be sent back home.
